FRIDA to Nepal

In january 2011, our friend Frida left Brittany for Nepal. He spent 4 months on his own, travelling around, meeting new people, exploring the country and its fascinating culture.

From Kathmandu to tiny villages lost in high mountains Frida had always his drawing book with him, almost constantly sketching, sometimes in rough conditions.Compiling local images from amazing panoramic views but also adverts, signs… he worked out new ways of elaborating his paintings. He took it as life experience, a time off to think about his art and to go beyond graffiti conventions.

Back to France he decided to publish a book about his nepali experience, an original and very creative object mixing photos, drawings, texts and GRAFFITI…

“Les carnets de Tonton Frida au Népal” – 75 page book – B&W – self editing – 20€
